SwiftData is an established data integration middleware company with an application used by higher ed and enterprise financial services (aka big banks). These schools and businesses rely on us to automate the data workflows between their HR and ERP systems and their door access control and one card systems. You’ll be responsible for…

Remote .NET Developer

Only apply if you…

• Building and maintaining client's customized middleware programs.
• Leading technical development on new products.
• QA’ing other programmer’s code.
• Providing input on and helping to improve internal processes and documentation.
• Assist where needed for in responding to tickets from our client support system.
• Intelligently and politely communicating with clients over email and Zoom calls when needed.

• Enjoy working in a low-stress environment.
• Have at least four years professional .NET coding experience.
• Are proficient in VB.NET and C#, or be willing to quickly learn one if you know the other.
• Have a strong understanding of object oriented programming.
• Experience developing .NET WinForms console applications
• Have a good sense of UI.
• Are experienced with the following .NET objects: System.Threading, System.Data.Oledb, Oracle.DataAccess, ClientSystem.Drawing.
• Are experienced working with JSON, XML, and REST.
• Proficient with SQL.
• We are a Microsoft SQL house so you'll need to understand that database. Must also have some knowledge of Oracle and MySQL.
• Can interpret data requirements and turn those into .NET code. Must also be able to explain standard ANSI SQL statements to clients who may not have experience.
• Are proficient in web programming.
• Interest in AI and data analytics a plus.
• Don’t hate talking to people (don’t have to love it but you do need to tolerate and be nice to clients).

We are seeking a software engineer with VB.NET or C# experience to develop new and modify existing customized middleware data integrations and enterprise desktop applications for our higher ed and corporate clients.

You will work closely with our co-founder/lead developer and the Technical Success Manager. Great opportunity for growth and turning this position into a leadership role with the company.
